Bobby T. Rimas

Mr. Bobby T. Rimas is an Associate Professor at California State University, Los Angeles. Subjects taught include Intellectual Property Law, Entertainment Law, Immigration Law, and Administrative Law. Mr. Rimas is also a Paralegal for a bank in Pasadena, California. He is the author of the Professional & Ethical Liability chapter of the National Association of Legal Assistants' (NALA) Certified Paralegal Exam Fundamentals textbook.

In August 2018, Mr. Rimas was elected Board Member of the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) Lambda Alumni Association (Lambda) where he successfully spearheaded the April 2019 UCLA Lambda Gala. In November 2019, he was appointed to NALA's Diversity & Inclusion Task Force. In March 2020, he was appointed to NALA's Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Committee.

Mr. Rimas served as President of the Los Angeles Paralegal Association (LAPA) for 6 years in addition to other positions such as Executive Vice President and NALA Liaison. He was awarded the 2013 NALA Affiliate Award "For outstanding contributions to the advancement of the paralegal profession through volunteer service." During his tenure as LAPA President, LAPA was awarded NALA’s “Making a Difference Award” for its pro bono, community service, scholarship, and educational programs. In December 2017, he received LAPA's "Outstanding Leadership Award."

From July 2016 to July 2018, Mr. Rimas served as UCLA Pilipino Alumni Association's Public Relations Director where he previously served as President/Chair and Scholarship Director. He graduated from UCLA with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History and a Paralegal Certificate in Litigation/Corporations from the UCLA Ext. Attorney Asst. Training Program.
